As a teacher, I (Evan) have worked at schools from Navan to Carp, from the far east to far west of Ottawa. Our Canadian schools are incredible. Notice how their laid out, the colours. Indoor gymnasiums, and even indoor plumbing.
This week students were on holidays, which means just as it does in Ottawa, that maintenance of the school kicks into high gear. Workers here were busy repairing things like desks, blackboards, and mostly the very literal foundation of the school. Heavy rains had been washing away the sand at the bottom on the school buildings. Workers spent the entire week filling it in, and pouring a cement walkway running the length of the school buildings.
