Growing up in Canada, my parents always told me not to eat anything that had fallen on the ground. They told me this because we always had plenty of food to go around. Usually if something fell in the dirt, I could get another one later. Ameya taught me what it was like to appreciate every little thing in our lives and to be grateful for everything that we have.
Challenge of the Week:
1-Gratitude Challenge: Who made you your last meal---Mom, dad, a babysitter, a friend? Take time to say, "Thank You".
2-Action Challenge: Do you have food to share? Why not make a donation to the local food cupboard.
If you live near Elmdale, the Parkdale Food Centre is a great one (http://www.parkdalefoodcentre.org/).
If you live near Terry Fox E.S., the Glocester Emergency Food Cupboard is probably the closest (www.gefc.com).
Or find any other Food Cupboard near your house to make a donation.
